# BEFORE your Consultation

Make sure you are in a quiet place with good lighting.
Write down the reasons you wanted to see the Healthcare Provider or any questions you may have.
This helps you gather your thoughts before the consultation. For example:
What is the main reason you are seeing your Healthcare Provider?
How long has this problem being going on for?
What treatment plan are you currently on?
Are you currently seeing any other Healthcare Providers?
What medications are you currently taking?
Do you have any questions about your medication plan?
Do you have any side effects from any of your medications?
Ensure that your profile information is up to date with the following information:
Your identity documents
Your medical scheme information
Your contact telephone number
Your direct email address
Your first and last name
Your date of birth and gender
Perhaps have a pen and paper close by to take any notes or instructions from your Healthcare Provider during your consultation
